Disney Dream Feb 2016 Day 2

There is so much to talk about on a Disney Cruise, that I decided to split my videos and posts to each day to tell you a little bit on each day.

IMG_0727On Day 2, we went to the Nassau, Bahamas port. Nassau has lots of excursions for your family to experience. Our family had been to Nassau before so for this trip, we decided to stay on the ship to enjoy some areas with less people on it. After a delicious breakfast buffet in Cabanas, we went to a meet and greet event with Anna and Else and 4 of the Disney Princesses. This event was a ticketed event that was given out first come first serve til tickets ran out that were handed out on the day of embarkation. The Navigator gave information as to when and where those tickets can be reserved. The Anna & Elsa meet & greet was the only time you can meet these two characters as they do not have scheduled meetings throughout the day. The four princesses did have other oppotunies to meet them through out the cruise. However, they were never together like at this event.

IMG_0729After our meet and greets, we spent some of our morning in the Goofy Sports Area where we played a couple of rounds of mini golf. After lunch, we headed for the Aquaduck. You can check out the video below to see my…screaming experience..lol. It was a lot of fun and we weren’t on the line very long since it was a port day. In fact my kids went on a few times with no trouble.

When rain showers started, we headed indoors and the kids club. Disney’s kids club often offers open family time where parents/guardians can go into the club with their kids and enjoy the different sections with them. This time the club was offering Jedi Training and since we are huge Star Wars fans, this was a lot of fun.

If you like to meet the different Disney characters, I think a Disney Cruise offers you a more personal and fun experience than in WDW. Due to the lower number of guests compared to the theme parks, the characters take more time with you to talk (in character) and be silly. They have different characters throughout the day, through the cruise. You can find the schedule and location in the Navigator or your Disney Cruise Line App. The Disney Cruise Line app is a wonderful app for the family to use. Disney offers free WiFi for use of this app ONLY. The app tells you everything you would find in the Navigator, your paper day schedule of events. They also have a chat feature for people in your cabin. It was a wonderful way for all of us to stay in touch with each other when we weren’t together without having to carry around the Wave Phones that each cabin offers. Our chat feature didn’t seem to always work out, but it was great to have.

Below you will find video from Day 2. Be sure to come back to check out Day 3 and if you missed Day 1, you can check that out here!

See ya next time!
