After 20 years of use, my luggage has started to show its age and it is time to start replacing my different pieces. Rain Coats
When my family took a cruise to Alaska this past year, I decided to buy raincoats for my husband and son instead of using ponchos. I wanted to get something that was light so it could go over our layers and be durable. I also didn’t want to buy anything too expensive because I didn’t think my boys would get much use out of them. I have to say, I have been pleasantly surprised with these raincoats I bought for them. They were compact and easy to pack, lightweight to go over their layers when it rained (and it rained a lot on us) and they have held up really nicely with multiple uses. They are so great that both my son and even my daughter have been using them at home when they needed protective gear while working outside during some summer rain storms. With all of the devices we bring with us these days, there never seems to be enough outlets. Since cruise lines do not allow power strips and many are cracking down on the ones that have no surge protection, I purchased this European Plug Adapter to take advantage of the European outlets in the cabin. Cruise Tag Holders
If you aren’t using these plastic cruise tag holders already, then you should really consider it. It’s so easy to put those paper luggage tags in. You don’t have to worry about how to wrap the paper tags around your bag; these protect the paper tags from rain and are reusable. Perfect stocking stuffer. Cruise tags aren’t always the same size though. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises tags are thinner in size than the other lines, so be sure you purchase the right brand.

Backpack
My family never travels without our backpack. We take it on cruises, road trips, Disney and whenever we are flying. We use it to carry our stuff when we are out on our excursions. Well, to be honest, my husband is lovingly called “Backpack Guy” because he is the one who wears the backpack and carries our stuff. We also always bring backpacks, especially on flights, because backpacks are considered a personal item for most airlines and provide another place to pack our stuff. Last year, we decided to buy a new one and I found this backpack, which has a lot of compartments and is lightweight, and my husband says he loves the straps on it. BACKPACK
