Norwegian Encore

On Nov 11th, I was invited to be part Norwegian Cruise Line’s Inaugural Event in NYC aboard their brand new ship Encore. For almost 2 days we were able to tour the ship, play with the amenities and sample much of what the ship has to offer.

The Encore is the last of NCL’s Breakaway Plus class. It has 20 decks and can hold about 4000 passengers at double occupancy. NCL is known to be great for families and the kids will certainly love the Speedway, the Laser Tag (we loved both!) and Galaxy Pavilion which is a Virtual Reality gaming. All of these games are charged extra to play. I also think NCL has great nightly entertainment. We were able to see Choir of Man and Kinky Boots. Both fantastic productions. The Waterfront is a great feature that is on all of the Breakaway Class ships. But I do love the Observation Lounge that is only part of the Breakaway Plus class ships like this one. On deck 15 Forward you get 180 degrees views that would be just breathtaking to take in while sailing in beautiful landscapes like Alaska. The Haven has it’s own 2 story observation lounge as well.

We were able to eat in the specialty restaurant, LeBistro, and had a delicious experience. The ship has 9 specialty restaurants, 3 main dining rooms and The Local which is a relaxed pub that offers food 24 hours a day. There is also a Starbucks, Bake Shop & Cocos to satisfy your sweet tooth. The Crepes from Cocos was heavenly.

The ship is on it’s way to Miami to sail in the Caribbean and then will be back in NYC for the 2020 summer season. If you want to experience a great new ship, contact me for further details!
Here’s a little trailer showing a little bit of what we did on the ship : )
