Our Experience on the Norwegian Breakaway

I took my family of four on the Norwegian Breakaway sailing out of New York Harbor for 7 nights to Bermuda. We stayed in a balcony stateroom.

You can check out my review of this ship from my ship inspection from this post.IMG_0262

My favorite part about this ship that you cannot experience from a ship inspection was the nightly entertainment. Burn the Floor, Rock of Ages, Second City and the special guest Broadway Singer they brought onboard was top notch. Reservations are always needed so try to come up with a plan of which night you would like to view these shows. Rock of Ages is recommended for adults only. We left our children at the kids camp during that time and it all worked out.

My kids enjoyed the slides and rock climbing. The ropes course and zip line were a lot of fun. Wish we could have gotten video of our experience but we weren’t allowed to bring our Go Pro with us on it.

Bermuda is a wonderful island to visit. We were docked for 2 and half days and we were able to visit many parts of the island. Our first day, we spent it on Horseshoe Bay  Beach. Known for it’s pink sand, it is a beauty to see and free to the public. There is a fee for chair and umbrella rentals. On our second day, we toured the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo and then the natural beauty of the Crystal Caves. We ended our day shopping on Front Street in Hamilton and had a lovely lunch at The Pickled Onion which was featured on the Food Network.IMG_2043
