The Disney Dream

IMG_5534I had the opportunity to tour the magnificent Disney Dream. Disney’s mission is to recapture the Golden Age of cruising from the 40’s when Walt Disney used to cruise quite often with his family.  If you have ever cruised on a Disney ship, you know that they have captued that mission perfectly. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? Service and value is what sets Disney apart from no other.  It’s an adult cruise with a wonderful array of family amenities to keep your kids entertained or provide fun for the whole family.

Disney has rotational dining, buffet dining and on the Dream it has two specialty restaurants , Palo & Remy, which charges a minimal per person charge. Palo and Remy are both adult only and must have advanced reservations. Palo offers brunch and dinner. Remy is a chef’s table dining experience and is themed from the Disney Movie Rattaouille.

IMG_5504The outdoor pools are great and fun for kids of all ages. Disney is the only cruise line that has lifeguards at their pool. Nemo’s Reef is perfect for kids who are not potty trained yet. The Aquaduck is a thrilling water coaster that includes a 4 deck drop. And if you want a quiet, relaxing side, you can head to the adults only, Quiet Cove.

Besides the adult only dining and pool areas, the Disney Dream also has adult only section named “The District”. At the District you will find  different lounges to fit your liking. For kids, they can escape to The Oceaneer Club or Lab. This section is broken up into little movie themes and offers interactive learning and fun for ages 4-11. The Vibe is the place for teenagers to go and hang out and make new friends. Disney also has babysitting services for their smallest travelers in the nursery for a daily charge.

Disney Dream is currently sailing out of Port Canaveral with 3 night and 4 night sailings to Bahamas. It’s perfect for families and couples with out kids.

Check out the many pictures I took on my wonderful tour of the Dream.
